The Approach

How We Handle Swing Sets and Swing Bays

A great swing set starts with a sturdy beam and the right seats: belt swings for big kids, bucket seats for toddlers, tire swings for sharing and adaptive seats for inclusive play.

Swings need space. The CPSC advises a distance equal to twice the height of the top bar in front of and behind the swings, and at least 6 feet from other obstacles. We plan every layout with those zones in mind.
